Greetings,

Got an error about shared library libstdc++.so.6 missing after inadvertently downloading the 32 bit firefox on to an amd64 system. The firefox website gives makes no mention of 32/64 bit suitability.

Did ldd on the firefox executable and it pointed to some libraries in the 32 bit directory ... It listed as missing the aforementioned file which is definitely in /lib , 64 bit by default. Hunted around for a 64 bit firefox and found one mentioned on the firefox support website in
          /pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/linux-86_64/en-US

there are two other English "variants".

Worked like a charm after this one went in. Iceweasel is too far behind and firefox seems to have improved enough.

Cheers.
