Interesting.
'tail /var/log/messages' reveals that my Xperia X8 is at /dev/sr2.

I got the udev properties using ADB in Debian while successfully rooting
the device as described here:
www.cypherpunk.at/2011/10/08/manual-rooting-android-on-linux-2/
