After plugin the usb-to-serial in I get something similar to what has already been posted to the list (from dmesg; no mode is auto-loaded): - ----- hub.c: new USB device 00:1d.1-1, assigned address 2 usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x403/0x6001) is not claimed by any active driver. - ----- I've then run modprobe usbserial. Dmesg's output: - ----- usb.c: registered new driver serial usbserial.c: USB Serial support registered for Generic - ----- Still no /dev/ttySOMETHING. I've then unplugged the usb-to-serial and plugged it in again: - ----- usbseriausb.c: USB disconnect on device 00:1d.1-1 address 2 hub.c: new USB device 00:1d.1-1, assigned address 3 usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x403/0x6001) is not claimed by any active driver. - ----- Still no luck. Any idea? 8-? TIA - -- Joan Tur.
