The reason for choosing pureftp is to give ftp access to members of a site by using pure-authd(custom authentication) and pure-uploadscript(upload handler). Home directories and upload settings will vary according to user roles and preferences in the site. For instance, premium members will be assigned home directories with higher quota and bandwidth compared to regular members. Proftp, OTH, will be the default server for cpanel users.
