I've read many posts from users running Ubuntu, aptosid, Mint, etc... I, personally, have no problem with them but you can expect from kind replies (people trying to help) to "go away" posts, depending on how's going their day (yes, people also have bad days, don't take it as something personal) :-) Anyway, whether you are in doubt you can always tag the subject accordingly to avoid complains from the rest of the mailing list participants.
