I am not aware of anything available that is able to replace the own ability to *think*. You have a brain. Use it! Aside from that there is the Debian Reference and lots of other excellent documentation and books about Debian. Of course I could say, usually the important stuff is in - /etc - /usr/share/doc - man and info pages - command --help - read error messages - tail -f /var/log/something (+ optionally | grep something) - dmesg - grep, zgrep - find - file -sk somefile or device to see what it is - blkid - mount / cat /proc/mounts - fdisk -l - lsblk - df -hT - ip addr / route / link, ip route get - /etc: apt/sources.list, apt/preferences, network/interfaces, resolv.conf… - dpkg, apt-get, aptitude But well now I have still omitted quite a lot of stuff. So my recommendation is work yourself through Debian Reference and/or some good Debian book like The Debian Administrators Handbook http://debian-handbook.info The Debian System http://debiansystem.info/ or some other good book while gaining your own experience by practically using and administering Debian systems.
