Hello, After waiting some time for some patches to allow usage of my Electrix Ebox (a digital DJ phono USB interface) I am faced with patching and building a kernel. I've done this before, but many years ago (before 2003) and need some encouragement and advice.
The patches are linked here ... http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3268&p=13840#p13807 So do I ... 1. Download Kernel sources 3.2.x through package manager ... "I tested Mark's patches on 3.2.x and they applied fine" (see thread). 2. Patch files in sound/usb. 3. Setup kernel config ... can I just copy the one from my current vanilla kernel ? 4. Make.
