Hi I've set cron-apt on my wheezy box and configured it to send me an email whenever any updates are available. The /etc/cron-apt/config file contains:
# cat /etc/cron-apt/config # Configuration for cron-apt. For further information about the possible # configuration settings see /usr/share/doc/cron-apt/README.gz. APTCOMMAND=/usr/bin/apt-get MAILON="upgrade" MAILTO"em...@address.com" # cron-apt runs, as the following is displayed in the log: # cat /var/log/cron-apt/log CRON-APT RUN [/etc/cron-apt/config]: Mon May 14 04:00:02 CDT 2012 CRON-APT SLEEP: 2163, Mon May 14 04:36:05 CDT 2012 CRON-APT ACTION: 0-update CRON-APT LINE: /usr/bin/apt-get -o quiet=1 update -o quiet=2 CRON-APT ACTION: 3-download CRON-APT LINE: /usr/bin/apt-get -o quiet=1 autoclean -y Reading package lists... Other process that send email are running on the box and I always receive email from them, just not cron-apt. I have the same cron-apt configuration on a squeeze machine and that sucessfully sends email. Any ideas of where I should be looking to debug this?
