What is the equivalent of RH's ntsysv in Debian? I want to permanently disable a few services like Samba, etc.
man update-rc.d
Example for disabled service samba: cd /etc/init.d/ update-rc.d -f samba remove if you want enabled service: update-rc.d -f samba defaults
