I rebooted the compuetr, and as the first thing to do when up did as you
proposed.
Here is the result:

kjetil@kjetil:~$ apt-get clean
E: Could not open lock file /var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (13:
Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock the download directory
kjetil@kjetil:~$ apt-get autoclean
E: Could not open lock file /var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (13:
Permission denied)

and something strange: apt-get did _not_ ask for my password! ¿Why?
