Did you perform some steps from within Windows? If so then go to
Add/Remove Programs and remove Debian entry.

You didn't say what else is on the laptop. If it's Windows, put in the
Windows setup disk, and do a repair, or whatever
they call it. It will rewrite the mbr so that Windows (and nothing
else) boots. If you have already partitioned the drive
to make room for Debian, and the partition has Debian stuff on it, you
can use GParted to reformat that partition into
an NTFS partition, so that Windows can use it as a D:\ drive.
