Thanks for the reply. You obviously haven't read the metacity manpage. I've done an apt-get install gnome (which isn't in woody), gone from there, and now it works. antgel $ sudo update-alternatives --config x-window-manager There are 2 alternatives which provide `x-window-manager'. Selection Alternative ----------------------------------------------- *+ 1 /usr/bin/metacity 2 /usr/bin/icewm Press enter to keep the default[*], or type selection number: A -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
