ntpdate doesn't use ntp.conf. It is a completely unrelated command. 'man ntpdate' Sample usage: $ ntpdate -q 0.us.pool.ntp.org To see what ntpd is doing: $ grep ntpd /var/log/syslog -- Stan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
