PHP4 in Unstable

Is it safe to upgrade to PHP4 4.3.2+rc3-6 from unstable yet (running 
latest unstable Apache 1.3)?  Or should I stay with 4.1.2-6woody3?  Last 
time I tried - I had MAJOR problems.
