Hi, When I boot my computer and the greeter window appears, the one where you can choose the user to login, a very loud and annoying sound (boink) is played. How can I turn that completely off? I am using the current Wheezy /Gnome3.
NB I found /etc/gdm3/greeter.settings that had a commented out entry "event-sounds=false", but enabling that entry did not make any difference.
