I do at the moment have /tmp/serverauth.Jx9TgHJbS8 and don't worry about that. It may as you say be odd, but I still associate "cookie" with clandestine attempts to track my purchases and inundate me with follow-up advertising. This is why, for example, I have ~/.macromedia linked to /dev/null.
