This is my first time using a list like this so please bear with me. I am somewhat of a newbie so the answer to
this question may be very simple.
The problem that I am having is that I cannot connect to internet via ppp. Here is some relevant information:
wvdial ouput -- after wvdial make connection...
Exiting shell, and starting PPP session. [EMAIL PROTECTED] }<}!}$}%\}"}&} }*} } }%}&;AZ(}'}"}(}"}1}$}%b}0{~ --> PPP negotiation detected. --> Starting pppd at Wed Oct 1 11:32:12 2003 --> The PPP daemon has died. (exit code = 127) --> Auto Reconnect will be attempted in 5 seconds --> Initializing modem. ...

The /var/log/messages info may not be useful other than line about diald, which I am not actively using.
The exit code = 127 (command not found?) seems odd. I may just have bad symbolic link somewhere but have
been unable to find it.
System is running 2.4.22 kernel w/ ppp support compiled into kernel. Modem is conexant hsf. The modem
seems to be working fine as wvdial makes the connection and pppd is what dies.
I seem to be the only person having this problem according to all of my googling so it must be something
simple but I have not been able to find it.
Thanks in advance for any help. andy
