Hello Christopher, I had similiar problems with apt-get install and -update and -upgrade and with aptitude too.
Have you tried the update-DVD-iso-images ? Burn them on DVD (6.0.3), then perform update with them. ( apt-cdrom add, apt-get update, apt-get upgrade) After it anything with apt-get and with aptitude should work without problems. Happy Hacking. Greetings.
