There is a problem with ac kernels since the scheduler code changed completely, quit a bit imported from 2.6. This may be solved when swsusp is properly imported into 2.6. You can have both swsusp and cpufreq by patching the vanilla kernel with the cpufreq patch instead of using an ac kernel.
