You might need a newer kernel.  At http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/Devices
it says "support for Clarkdale and later cores was added in kernel 2.6.35,"
which your i5 M450 seems to be, according to 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_i5.
