Mounted floppy drives have *HORRIBLE* performance. The "mtools" toolkit is vastly more efficient and safer, much less likely to corrupt a file in the midst of writing it to the floppy and ejecting the file during the write, or requiring a "sync" before hitting the eject button, and much more clear about the fact that "cp" to a mounted floppy may not preserve ownership and the file name the way you expect. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
