Good time of the day.

I wonder if there is an utility for disturbing (writting a byte every
N seconds in order to stop it move its head to a landing zone) a mounted
HDD until it is unmounted?

If not, then, how I can find out what is PID (being ran from a bash
script) of the back grounded process (I think to accomplish it w/ the
help of watch and echo a byte to the drive) in order I may kill it on
un-mounting the drive?

Thanks for Your time.
