However, if I boot with "Linux video=atyfb:off" as suggested in the link it still doesn't work. It always hangs at the boot line console [tty0] enabled, bootconsole disabled and nothing responds. My SunFire T2000 went from working under Debian 5 to completely dead under Debian 6. Thanks for any help. Scott
