Well, removing imap from extensions got it running for me.. But guess
what.... i kinda need IMAP :(

I definitely attest to that.  I'm currently running the 4:4.1.2-6woody3 
from versions of the PHP4 packages from stable with the latest Apache 
1.3 unstable.

So far, no problems - including the PHP4-IMAP package.
