Thanks, Peter. :) (myself being the guy who started this little
Smartphone Debian shindig. ;) )

Quick history:

1) after I decided since noone else was doing it, it must be my
responsibility to get the ball rolling. So, I created
wiki.debian.org/Smartphone
to hold info about the project.

2) Then, I went looking for the page in the debian wiki which would
logically link to the Smartphone page.

There were basically 2 possibilities, working forward from the main deb
wiki page:
a) from a "debian subdistros" page, or
b) from the "hardware" page, reasoning someone might think "I have a
smartphone. It is hw. I'll look under hw to see what debian has
going."

3) Basically, after checking a bit, 2b was the easiest to do.

4) But, the hw page had a not-yet-improved flaw: There was no
distinction between "systems" & "components".

The systems: desktop, handheld, laptop, server - what you'd install
debian _on_,
were just alphabetically included in the "components" list.

NOTE: Mobile was not mentioned on the Hardware page.

So, I first separated the list into systems & components section.

Then, I added a link to "Smartphone" from the "Handheld" page.

It was only a week or so later that i noticed that all of Desktop,
Laptop & Server didn't each have their own page of info, they all were
just links to "http://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn";. So, that is
a rather less than useful kind of link. Really, the proper way to
handle those is to eliminate those "Hardware" links, & just put all 3 of
those together on that page with a text note to look at the
http://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn page.

Only "Handheld" had/has some real content about handhelds, including the
link to Smartphone.

==
So, I'll venture to state "Mobile"'s content should be be properly
integrated into a higher level wiki page, such as "Hardware", in some
way - like, perhaps as a "Mobile" link - though that might be
duplicative.

==
Best wishes to you, Peter, or anyone, if you want to do something to
improve that section of the wiki!
