Do you have a file called sources.list~ in /etc/apt? If so, that's a backup your editor made for you before you broke sources.list. In that case, you could cp sources.list~ sources.list <enter.> and wipe out your mistake. If not, you're using the wrong editor. I recommend emacs or xemacs for future use if you used the wrong editor if for no other reason than insurance.
