I was subscribed[1] to the KMail ML when this feature was being discussed (something like a year or two ago). So I suspect that not all mail clients would have it. Or else the discussion would have been a no-brainer. Everybody's doing it; let's do it to. This "delete-before-download" feature can be done by other, stand alone applications applications: popsneaker, popcheck, pop surgeon, pop browser, Save My Modem. mail filter, and for those with the fortitude, telnet.
