Does the freeze happen when you are not browsing the web? If yes, at least you have a start point for making additional tests (i.e., disable plugins/addons or start the browser with an empty profile). If the freeze also happens when doing normal tasks (not just while browsing the web) you could try by accessing to the frozen box via ssh. If you can enter the machine, the freeze could have been generated by the X server. If "ssh-ing" is not an option, it is possible that you've had a kernel freeze (either "hard" or "soft") and logs may have registered more data on the lock. If no information was recorded on the logs, the freeze can also be due to a pure hardware related problem (usual suspects are ram, micro, heat, hard disks and/or power supply).
