Ah, I see.

I'm now in my lenny box and there is not such a file ("local.conf") under 
"/etc/fonts" directory (I did not make any tweak for the fonts) so I 
thought it was a change of Squeeze.

Then yes, of course. The OP has only to use the proper format for the 
file.
