Rob your answer is way over my head. If I have any hotkeys in X I don't know about them and I certainly don't know how to set one. Not to fear though your answer was very helpful. 'man uxterm' lead to /etc/X11/app-defaults/UXTerm which lead to /etc/X11/app-defaults/XTerm which contains: *fontMenu*font5*Label: Large *VT100*font5: 9x15 so when I put "XTerm*font: 9x15" in .Xresources I get the size xterm windows I want when X starts. :) Thanks a lot, Mike -- Satisfied user of Linux since 1997.
