If one application works, the sound is working and your problem is most likely with the configuration of the applications where it does not work. Are you using a sound server (arts, esound, etc...)? If so, perhaps the apps that don't work aren't configured to use it. If not, may they are. In short, this appears to be an application configuration issue, not specific to the nvaudio driver. -- Jamin W.
