Hi,
Running Sid, for some reason in X I have no 'left', left arrow. But I do
in console mode and also running Lenny, so it's not hardware.
Running 'xev', up, down, right all turn out something like:
...
KeyPress event, serial 35, synthetic NO, window 0xa00001,
root 0x6c, subw 0xa00002, time 6940579, (48,38), root:(107,175),
state 0x0, keycode 114 (keysym 0xff53, Right), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: True
...
but 'left' gets:
...
KeyRelease event, serial 35, synthetic NO, window 0xa00001,
root 0x6c, subw 0xa00002, time 6959427, (48,38), root:(107,175),
state 0x0, keycode 113 (keysym 0xff20, Multi_key), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
XFilterEvent returns: False
...
What's with that 'multi-key'?
And what is the way to fix it?
multi-key because I had:
keycode 113 = Multi_key
in .Xmodmap. Why? Who knows.
