I have a Canon LPB7200Cdn printer connected to the home network and am trying to get printing going on Lenny:
r...@debian:~$ uname -a Linux debian 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP Thu Sep 16 19:35:51 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux Canon have .deb files for use with CUPS on their web site for this printer and they install OK using dpkg (they require ghostscript, which is also installed). The printer is picked up on the network by CUPS, it gets the ppd files fine and seems to install the printer into CUPS just as you would hope. But, nothing prints from debian, Windows computers have no trouble. CUPS (http://localhost:631) shows "printing since..." but nothing appears. Not the test page from CUPS, nor anything from any application. The printer itself can be accessed from debian and shows no jobs waiting or processing. I'm new to debian (from BDS) and am not sure where to even look for error messages. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
