Potato is stable
woody is unstable
sid is testing sarge is ?
This info is one generation too old.
I tried to download woody , but my laptop does not even boot form it.
I have a pc which wast installed with "stable" and the downgraded to "unstable".
That is not really a downgrade, since unstable will turn testing sometime, and sometime later will be the furure stable release.
