IIRC, I had this problem on an old Linux install I was using for MythTV,
and it did come down to a lack of OSS support with the installed ALSA.
(And I googled for 'linux flash sound' and that was the first hit :-) )
Is that 4yo post regarding Flash v7 or v9?
I believe I used it when I had 9 installed, but I've seen reports that
it affects 10 as well.
Old or not, it still might work. Doesn't hurt to try.
I did actually try it (alsa-oss was already installed) earlier, by
changing "none" to "aoss". No luck.
