I use spoolfile. > 2) Is there any way to have mutt pass options to emacs when invoking > my EDITOR? "The little brother's database" (lbdb) hooks nicely into mutt ('set query_command="lbdbq %s"') and supports a number of modules on the backend. I do not use imap, but filtering per maillist is essential. read/no-read decisions for me is mainly based on subjects of a given thread, which I then ^D or read. If I get tired of killing something manually (like virus announcements, or platform specific stuff like alpha, pcc, windows) then I create a procmail filter to toss it automatically. /Allan -- Allan Wind P.O.
