Ffmpeg (command line tool) can achieve that: http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-doc.html#SEC4 With "-t" you specify the time interval for screen grabbing. There also some nice GUI apps ("Istambul" or "gtk-recordmydesktop") that can also help you with this task.
