That said, bugs in stable only get fixed is they are RC or security-related.  
So, if the 3.5 in Lenny is too buggy for you, you are stuck with KDE SC 4.  
KDE 3 isn't supported upstream and isn't in the testing or unstable 
repositories.  (Exception: the libraries might still be in testing since some 
applications use them without being part of KDE SC).
