Tell the user to use a DVI-D to DVI-D (only digital) cable :-)

Visual difference can arise, but I think it depends on displays and 
graphic cards brand/model/quality.

Using VGA signal, usually the text renders a bit more fuzzy that using a 
digital link (cristal clear strokes).
