Java is a little broken in Squeeze at the moment.
One fix..
In file: /etc/sysctl.d/bindv6only
Change "net.ipv6.bindv6only = 1"
to "net.ipv6.bindv6only = 0".
Then restart the procps service (as root, /etc/init.d/procps restart) or
reboot.
Java should then work.
