Recently I came across "FreeLists". Haven't used any of their
services, so can't say much beyond what's on their website:

FreeLists provides free mailing list hosting to groups whose
topics are related to technology, computers, communications,
medicine, astronomy, etc. We provide a free service to help
you keep in touch with your friends, customers, co-workers,
    research partners, and more.

Looks interesting...somewhat computer-centric, but not entirely.

I am curious to know how the Ecartis mailing manager they use
compares to GNU Mailman.
