Hello, I just have installed Debian Lenny (64 bits) on one of my systems and also installed Midnight Commander (4.6.2-pre1).
When trying to disable "tab" and "spaces" on MC I can't get it to work. I've edited /root/.mc/ini file and added: *** editor_visible_tabs=0 editor_visible_spaces=0 *** And saved the file, but as soon as I open MC, those values revert back into: *** editor_visible_tabs=1 editor_visible_spaces=1 *** Which generates the "<---->" lines.
