I installed the radio package. When running radio with or without option flags I get 'no such device' errors.
The kernel finds the tuner and the bttv driver is loaded and /dev/radio has 666 permissions.(pruned outputs shown below). I'm sure there is docs/FAQ for this but have hit a mental roadblock.Could someone point me in the right direction please. --------- [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rjp# lsmod Module Size Used by Not tainted tuner 8736 1 (autoclean) bttv 67264 0 (autoclean) i2c-algo-bit 7048 1 (autoclean) [bttv] videodev 5408 2 (autoclean) [bttv] es1371 25992 1 soundcore 3428 4 [bttv es1371] ac97_codec 9800 0 [es1371] [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rjp# lspci 00:02.5 IDE interface: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 5513 [IDE] (rev d0) 00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 02) 00:0b.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture (rev 11) 00:0b.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture (rev 11) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV4 [RIVA TNT] (rev 04) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rjp# ls -al /dev/radio lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 Aug 5 17:08 /dev/radio -> radio0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rjp# radio -s open /dev/radio: No such device -- Cheers Russ. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
