The CUPS printing system just quit after an update to Stable via
security.debian.org .. "/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoraster failed".
I have since purged and re-installed cups, cups-driver-gutenprint, cupsys,
ghostscript and udev, downgraded them to versions from Lenny 5.0 but it still
doesn't work.
Any clues appreciated, many thanks.
/var/log/cups/error_log has several odd entries:
