From poking around with Google, though, it doesn't appear yet that any apps use VDPAU to accelerate MPEG-2, and vlc (my favorite video player) hasn't yet migrated the VDPAU h264 patches into the mainline yet.

If I've missed anything, plz correct me!

So it looks like I'll stick with my 7300 for now...
