Sure. For example, let's say that you've got a list of raw files
that you want to convert to jpeg and then make thumbnails from.
#!/bin/bash
cd /photo/raw
for i in *.raw;
do
bn=$(basename "${i}" .raw)
convert_to_jpg "${i}" /photo/jpg/"${bn}".jpg
make_thumb /photo/jpg/"${bn}".jpg /photo/thumbs/th_"${bn}".jpg
done
Note that convert_to_jpg and make_thumb are imaginary apps used just
for example purposes.
