I've noticed that if I use "ping -A" that the kernel starts discarding packets after the first few, only registering every 5th ping. I'm pretty sure this is a flood control measure, but it's interfering with measuring my cable modem for drops, so I'd like to disable this "feature."
Is there a sysctl or similar to disable this behavior? -- "Oh, look: rocks!" -- Doctor Who, "Destiny of the Daleks" -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
