Same problem here after upgrade on Sunday. (Debian unstable, amd64) Problem: Both keyboard and mouse work neither in gdm or in kdm login screens. After a reboot, startx locks mouse and keyboard the same way. However, after purging dbus and reinstalling everything but gdm or kdm, xorg runs ok with startx. After installing kdm or gdm again, same problem. I work on a Thinkpad T61. Both external and built-in usb keyboard/mouse stop working.
