I have the impression that the web interface of git.kernel.org may have a problem with serving binary files. Try to obtain the firmware using git; in my case this yields a different firmware.fw file. (I cannot test any of the files, though.) To get the firmwware file with git, you need the "git-core" package. Then you can cd to a convenient working directory - you will need about 2.8 MB of disk space - and do this (as your normal user): git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dwmw2/linux-firmware-from-kernel.git If that command is successful then you will find the firmware at ./linux-firmware-from-kernel/vicam/firmware.fw Copy this file to /lib/firmware/vicam/firmware.fw and try to load the vicam kernel module again. -- Regards, | http://users.icfo.es/Florian.Kulzer Florian | -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
