Hello, I have an old machine running Debian Testing and working as a router with 2.6.26-2-686 kernel. Runs iptables firewall, has two lan cards and a wireless card for nat.
Earlier today it was not responding, just hanged. In the logs I noticed these lines which I have never seen before: Apr 29 07:22:31 router kernel: [1280585.489463] eth1: Oversized Ethernet frame spanned multiple buffers, entry 0x21 length 0 status 00000600! Apr 29 07:22:31 router kernel: [1280585.489496] eth1: Oversized Ethernet frame d7dca210 vs d7dca210. Apr 29 07:22:31 router kernel: [1280585.489512] eth1: Oversized Ethernet frame spanned multiple buffers, entry 0x22 length 0 status 00000400! Apr 29 07:22:31 router kernel: [1280585.489528] eth1: Oversized Ethernet frame d7dca220 vs d7dca220. Apr 29 07:22:31 router kernel: [1280585.489542] eth1: Oversized Ethernet frame spanned multiple buffers, entry 0x23 length 1464 status 05b88d0 0! Apr 29 07:22:31 router kernel: [1280585.489558] eth1: Oversized Ethernet frame d7dca230 vs d7dca230. After this it appears that the ppp0 connection (dsl) stopped working as did my home lan. Anybody what this means and if I need to worry about this? Thanks. -- Please reply to this list only. I read this list on its corresponding newsgroup on gmane.org.
